We present an easy interpretation of a drink found on our latest drinks list. This is a batch prepared mix that's loaded full of flavours associated with holiday season, which makes it perfect for your holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup for morning drinks, desserts, or for more rounds of the drink.
Bikini Recipe
Yields 10 people
For the Clementine Cordial (makes 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml newly squeezed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
To make the Drink (yields 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Method
For the Cordial: Place the listed components in a saucepan, bring to a gentle boil, stirring so the sugar melts. Next, take off the heat allowing it to reach room temperature entirely. Pour into a sterilised bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it can be stored for about four weeks.
For the Batch Mix: Mix the specified liquid ingredients into one sizeable container, let it rest for an hour, then strain preferably using cheesecloth, so it's completely strained.
For serving: Measure 85ml from the cocktail base to a stirring glass containing ice, and stir gently for one minute to cool it down. Strain to a cold coupe glass or similar, top with the cranberries and finish by giving it a brief mist with the mandarin essence over the top.
